Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Circles In For 2015

Lamborghini’s first in-house GT3 racer, the Huracán GT3, had its first test recently at the Italian town of Vallelunga, rolling the wheels on the surface of the “Piero Taruffi” circuit. Lamborghini Squadra Corsa test drivers, Adrian Zaugg and Fabio Babini, set up the car, watched by Giorgio Sanna, Lamborghini’s official R&D test driver.Ultimate Factories III: Ep 1 LAMBORGHINI Episode Code 4541
The car is part of Lamborghini’s march towards the 2015 Blancpain Endurance series, aiming to race on five European circuits and including the Spa 24 Hours event, with the further target of racing in North America and Asia in 2016. Lamborghini has utilised its association with Dallara Automobili, the company that is working on the Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo. By building the Huracán GT3, the company has taken the next step in competing in a very demanding and prestigious category.Lamborghini Huracan GT3_300dpi
The 39 year old Sanna, also an experienced and awarded race driver, said of the GT3: ‘‘I’m pretty much satisfied with this first test of the new Huracán GT3. We still have plenty of work to do to be ready for the upcoming season, but performance and reliability feedback is encouraging. I have no doubt that this car will more than hold its own in international GT3 competitions.”
