Lamborghini Gets Racy In Indonesia For The Super Trofeo Series.

The Blancpain Super Trofeo racing series heads back to Indonesia for the weekend of 4/5 September and Lamborghini will say hello to the Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo for the first time at the Sentul International Circuit whilst saying goodbye to the sensational Gallardo.
2015 sees the return of the Swiss watchmaker sponsored series to the Indonesian circuit, after a better than expected showing at the Kuala Lumpur City Grand Prix in early August. The Sentul circuit is expected to test the Huracán; with eleven corners, short straights and a wide track allowing plenty of overtaking opportunities, it will be the first time the Lamborghini racer will have had the chance to sample the track. Adding to the spectacle will be a Lamborghini owner’s parade.Warm Up For Sentul LBSTA 2015[2]

“For the fourth round of racing this season, Lamborghini are delighted to return to Indonesia, the home country of one of our chief sponsors, Pertamina. Sentul is an exciting circuit where local motorsport culture and support for the series is overwhelmingly passionate”, said Mr Andrea Baldi, General Manager of Automobili Lamborghini Asia Pacific, adding:” We are looking forward to a good turn-out for the parade and events, it will be a thrilling weekend of racing for Lamborghini, drivers and guests.”huracan_lp620-2_models_hook

The Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo has been developed by the fabled Italian brand to be a pure, dedicated, uncompromising race machine. Weighing in at just 1270 kilograms dry, it sports a V10 engine producing 620 horsepower, delivered to the racing tarmac via the rear wheels, allowing drivers to become accustomed to the traction system that’s similar to Lamborghini’s new Huracán GT3.

The now well established Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Asia series has attracted some extra sponsorship, including Indonesian company, Pertamina, and increased backing from companies such as Pirelli, Becker Carbon and X-Bionic.

There’s one Asian based round to go, to be held in Shanghai over the weekend of 17 and 18 October, before heading to the United States for the final round at Sebring, 19 to 21 November.
